Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all the Cogs Robotics courses.
All fees are payable prior to the start of the course
A minimum of 10 students is required for the camp/course to run. Cogs Robotics reserves the right to cancel the camp/course, no later than 7 working days prior to course commencement date.
Cancellations must be made 15 working days prior to the commencing date of the course. Cancellations should be submitted in by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Proof of cancellation is only accepted if you have a confirmation email from Cogs Robotics. We do not accept cancellation by telephone or any other methods.
Should a course be cancelled by Cogs Robotics, a 100% refund will be made.
Suspension and Expulsion
Cogs Robotics reserves the right to suspend or remove any student work or behaviour is, in their reasonable opinion, unsatisfactory. Under such circumstances, Cogs Robotics will be under no obligation to return any fees. The judgement of the course instructor is final.
Admission to Cogs Robotics
Admission to any of the courses offered by Cogs Robotics is at the discretion of the Principal, course instructors or delegates. No student may be admitted onto a course until the Emergency Contact form has been completed and the course fees paid.
Cogs Robotics Authority
Cogs Robotics reserves the right to take whatever steps it reasonably believes to be necessary to maintain discipline and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and students.
Agreement is given for your child to leave the site
1) in the event of an emergency under supervision
2) at the end of the scheduled lesson which will not be under supervision.
It is the parent’s responsibility to collect the child at the end of each session.
Cogs Robotics holds valid Public Liability Insurance and is available only on request.
Cogs Robotics holds no responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal property brought to camps/courses.
During the camp we may take photographs, film, video or audio recordings of your child. We will use this material across the following mediums:
Website – for publicity or blog posts on our website www.cogsrobotics.co.uk
Social media – promotional and informational purposes on social media accounts managed by Cogs Robotics.
Articles or blog posts to promote STEM activities and engagements.
If you do not want your child to be photographed or have video recordings taken you can opt out after making your booking. You can also inform the course instructor on the day of the course if you wish to change your photographic consent permission.
Fees are non-returnable for students arriving late, leaving early or missing a lesson due to illness or any other cause. If the course has been booked, then full fees are payable.
No electronic gadgets are allowed to be brought to the course. This includes mobile phones, tablets, games and other gadgets.
Teams will be allocated by the course instructor and their decision will be final.
If a child from a team is absent for 2 or more classes, the allocated role of that individual child will be given to another team member. The child will be placed on the waiting list for that particular role until a place has become available. Meanwhile the student will be allocated a different role which will be decided by the instructor.
Change of venue can be expected due to unavoidable circumstances. In such cases, Cogs Robotics will inform the parents well ahead.
We cannot guarantee the absence of allergens in the classroom. There may be traces of nuts and other allergens found in the classroom as the camp/course is conducted in a school premises. Information about the student’s allergy should be clearly written and completed on the medical information form.
In the event of any medical emergencies - Medical Emergency service 999 will be contacted by Cogs Robotics.
We shall not be liable for any delay in performing or failure to perform, any obligation (including to action any alteration or cancellation) due to any case beyond our reasonable control including lock-outs, strikes, shortages of personnel, labour disputes, war, riot, act of God, civil commotion, terrorism, malicious damage, threats to safety, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, environmental contamination, pandemic outbreak of disease, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm, difficulty or increased expense in obtaining workmen, materials, goods or raw materials in connection with the performance of this agreement.
